TRE can help you feel calmer, more grounded, and better equipped to handle everyday stress. It supports the body in gently releasing built-up tension and the effects of long-held stress or trauma - including symptoms related to PTSD.
One of the unique benefits of TRE is that it doesn’t require you to talk about your past. Many people feel relief knowing they don’t have to revisit or retell their story. Instead, TRE works directly with the body, helping you let go of what you’ve been holding — without needing to engage the mind.

TRE is a simple yet powerful way to release stress, tension, and trauma held in the body - no matter how long it’s been there or how deeply it’s stored. Neurogenic tremors or vibrations are our nervous systems natural, therapeutic way of releasing tension from the body.
TRE allows us to consciously activate this long forgotten process.Through a series of gentle, guided exercises, your body naturally begins to tremor, a built-in process that helps discharge held energy and restore balance.
Nikola Tesla believed that energy, frequency, and vibration form the foundation of our universe. In a similar way, neurogenic tremors - the natural shaking or vibrating that can occur in the body - are the nervous system’s built-in way of responding to stress and tension.
This instinctive response, sometimes called a “Recovery Reflex,” is something all humans and animals are born with. It’s the body’s natural mechanism for releasing overwhelm and returning to balance - no thinking or effort required.

Our bodies are always working in remarkable ways - most of the time without us even realising. Through TRE, we become aware of the body’s natural ability to release tension through therapeutic tremors. Recognising this innate healing response can be deeply empowering. This is the body’s original blueprint for release - the way nature designed us to let go of what we no longer need. Our system knows what to release, and in what order. On a personal level, TRE helps me quickly settle a busy mind, especially at night when I need rest more than rumination.
Complements Other Practices
Neurogenic tremors can flow easily alongside a variety of other body practices and some clients find it very effective run parallel with talk therapy. Whatever other practices you have in your life, you may find a TRE practice can actually work to deepen these other modalities.

Tension and trauma often show up as contraction in the body, whether it’s a headache, a heavy heart, or looping thoughts. TRE gently activates the body’s natural release mechanism, helping to unwind that contraction layer by layer.

Group classes are a wonderful way to maintain a regular TRE practice once you've had a few individual sessions. Think of it like a weekly yoga class — a supportive, regular space to keep coming back to the work.

Is TRE right for me?

We'll start with a brief chat about what's brought you to TRE and how you're feeling. I'll then guide you through a short sequence of simple exercises designed to soften and open the body, so the natural tremoring response can arise. Once the tremors begin, I will guide you from there Sessions last around an hour, and most people feel noticeably calmer and lighter afterwards.

TRE is suitable for most people, regardless of age or fitness level. It's particularly helpful for anyone carrying stress, anxiety, or the effects of long-held tension, including people who find talking therapies difficult or who aren't ready to revisit their story. Because TRE works directly with the body, no verbal processing is needed.

Many people notice a shift after just one or two sessions. From there, the journey tends to unfold in a natural rhythm.
Private sessions are a wonderful way to begin, giving you the space to learn at your own pace, with support tailored specifically to you. After two or three sessions, many people feel ready to join a weekly group class, which is a lovely way to maintain a regular practice and stay connected to the work, much like attending a weekly yoga class.
Group classes are offered at several locations, so there's likely to be something convenient for you. And whenever you feel ready to go deeper, individual sessions are always available to pick up again.
The goal is for TRE to become something you genuinely own, a tool you can return to whenever life calls for it.

Yes, and that's one of the things that makes TRE so valuable. Once you've learned the exercises in a supported setting, you can continue at home whenever you need it. No equipment, no special space required. Just you and your body's own wisdom.

TRE is gentle and suitable for most people. Sessions are always taught in a supported, regulated way to make sure the process feels comfortable and manageable. If you have a history of significant trauma or are currently working with a mental health professional, just let me know beforehand - we can approach things thoughtfully and at the right pace for you.

Absolutely. TRE works beautifully alongside other body-based practices like Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Hanna Somatics, yoga, breathwork or meditation. Many people find it deepens and supports whatever else they're already doing for their wellbeing.
